The below restrictions will cease on the 15 December or when NSW Reaches 95% double dose vaccination
Dear Members, As most would already know, the NSW Government’s Roadmap to recovery has met it's first target of 70% fully vaccinated adults over the age of 16. Due to this, a new Public Health Order was issued on the 7th October that now will come into effect as of Monday the 11th of October. We do apologies for the short notice on this, however Clubs NSW were only provided details of the order yesterday. The new order has resulted in some major changes to the club industry throughout NSW for both clubhouse and golf operations. As the vaccination rate increases, changes will continue to occur until December 1st when most restrictions will ease. We ask you take note of the following:- Effective Monday 11th of October operations at MGC will be as per below :- Clubhouse Operations : -
*Double Vaccinated patrons are allowed in all areas of the club after checking in. Masks are necessary for entry to both the proshop and upstairs area. Unvaccinated patrons (this includes persons having received only one dose of Covid 19 vaccine) may enter the club for the purpose of takeaway items only. You are then required to leave the clubhouse. * Trading Hours may be altered at short notice as required. * Mullum Indian will trade as normal, and welcomes everybody, but dine in patrons must show double vaccination status. Wednesday through Sunday under the above conditions Pro Shop Operations :-
* Only fully vaccinated staff will provide customer service. * Only fully vaccinated volunteers will operate the Half-Way House. * only double vaccinated persons may remain (drink / eat) in the licenced area surrounding the Pro Shop. Unvaccinated persons may only takeaway food / drink (on course is OK) and not remain in the licenced are surrounding the pro shop. Golf Operations :- * Only fully vaccinated golfers may play in groups up to and not exceeding four players * Unvaccinated golfers (including those with only 1 dose) may play in groups not exceeding two players. * Only fully vaccinated persons may share a cart. * Single use of carts only for unvaccinated players. As you can imagine, this process is almost unmanageable for a small club like ours. Unfortunately, the Public Health Order requires clubs to comply with this in the best way possible, so we ask members use their honesty and integrity whilst navigating us through this difficult period. Members and/or patrons will be responsible for their own actions and proof of vaccination should it be required from outside agencies or the club’s staff. We note that it’s the members right not to disclose your vaccination status, however non-disclosure will be treated as not fully vaccinated. Please note penalties will apply to those who falsify documentation. Please note that the Board of MGC, although wishing not to be divisive in any way, has no alternative but to follow directions of NSW Health and recommendations from Club's NSW and Golf NSW to ensure the safety of our members and staff.
We would also like to remind all members that under no circumstances, are members to vent their frustrations to staff during this difficult transition. Our staff, throughout this pandemic have allowed MGC to continue to operate in a compliant and effective manner and the Board of Directors will maintain a zero tolerance approach to those members who show any form of abuse toward them.
For obvious privacy reasons, staff will not be engaging in any conversations relating to other member’s vaccination status. All standard Covid-19 regulations will remain in place under the clubs Covid safe plan regarding wearing of masks and seating arrangements. We will continue to update you as necessary. Regards Board of Mullumbimby Golf Club
We advise that conditions of entry to the club may change at short notice and staff will have the final say. Any abuse to staff will not be tolerated in any form Staff decisions in this area are final and Members are again requested to be patient and respectful of our staff and each other during these times.
