Mullumbimby Golf Club
Extreme Weather Information Mullumbimby Golf Club is not resourced to monitor and advise golfers of weather conditions. Golfers should take their own steps to monitor conditions including severe weather warnings, which are available from the Bureau of Meteorology (bom.gov.au) and other websites and apps. At the discretion of MGC management, the course may be closed in anticipation of, during, or following weather events. Players who choose to play in extreme weather, including hot, windy, rainy or cold conditions, do so at their own risk. Players are responsible for taking their own precautions including appropriate headwear, clothing, sunscreen and water provisions. In the event of lightning, players should cease play immediately and return to the clubhouse (if safe to do so). If caught outdoors during a thunderstorm:

Work Health and Safety Policy Statement
Commitment Mullumbimby Golf Club is committed to ensuring the health and safety of workers and others affected by our work activities. We place the highest priority on making sure work activities are carried out safely and reasonable measures are taken to remove (or reduce if they can’t be eliminated) risks to the health and safety of workers and others. People are our most important asset and safety is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to ensuring we comply with relevant legislation, applicable Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. The following responsibilities are a summary of the Work Health & Safety Policy & Procedures that the Management of Mullumbimby Golf Club will ensure are fully enacted and complied with. Mullumbimby Golf Club seeks the cooperation of all workers and others to ensure a safe working environment. We encourage suggestions to achieve, and improve, our work health and safety goals to ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day. This policy applies to business activities, including those situations where workers may be working off-site. |

Golf Cart – Driver Responsibilities

- All drivers must be at least 18yo
- Advise Pro Shop staff if you are not experienced in driving a golf cart
- Intoxicated persons are not permitted in carts
- Smoking is not permitted in carts
- Drivers are expected to ensure that carts are returned in a tidy condition
- Carts are limited to two people, including the driver
- Mobile phones and other devices are not to be used whilst driving
- Ensure clubs and other items are secured
- If children are accompanying the driver, the driver is responsible for supervision
- Cart is only permitted to be used within the boundaries of MGC
- Drivers will be responsible for any damage to carts including payment of repair costs
- Follow paths (where marked) and any on-course signage
- Keep cart well away from greens, bunkers, hazards, waterways
- Keep arms and legs within the cabin whilst cart is moving
- Give way to walkers and grounds staff
- Avoid turning steering wheel too sharply
- Do not get on or off cart whilst it is moving
- Look behind for hazards before reversing
- Avoid rough, uneven and muddy areas and low hanging trees
- Do not drive through water or GUR
- Drive at speeds appropriate to the course conditions
- Avoid driving and parking on uneven or sloping ground
- If necessary to park on slopes, apply park brake
- Passengers are only permitted on the seat (no riding on the golf bag area)
- Return cart to cart parking area
- Remove rubbish and personal items and return key to Pro Shop
- Report any damage or problems to Pro Shop staff
