Mullumbimby Golf Club offers a fantastic Junior Program which has been running successfully for some time.
The program is affiliated with Golf Australia and Golf NSW MyGolf program. Starting the 2nd Monday of each school term and running through to end of term our team of accredited golf instructors including PGA Professionals and Community Instructors run lessons on the range and on course play for an hour or more. Each September MGC holds the Brunswick Valley Junior Open for all aspiring Juniors on the Northern Rivers. Our program is designed to get the children to enjoy golf at a level suited to them and our Open Day offers opportunity to our juniors. MGC has recently had numerous of our juniors pass through the North Coast Academy of Sport (NCAS) Junior Development Golf Squad. This squad is headed by OSCC Professional Chris Graham and assisted by Luke Woods. We are very fortunate to have a team of qualified coaches to pave the way for our aspiring juniors. The clinics are ideal for children from 7-14 with a lot of fun and learning to be had. Cost is only $10.00 per child ($15- 2 siblings) per lesson starting at 4:30pm until 5pm. Luke’s primary role is Regional Manager for Jack Newton Junior Golf and Golf NSW where he covers all facets of the club industry offering support to both club operations and participation in the adult and junior space. Luke is excited to be ‘home’ and restarting his coaching relationship with Mullumbimby Golf Club. Luke considers himself an all rounder as a golf coach with a passion and specialty for short game. “My coaching philosophy is always evolving and there is no one swing methodology that fits all. Through my own learnings and adversities I am passionate about helping golfers understand their own game, achieve their own golfing goals”
